*Well, maybe it wasn’t that much of a failure. I did end up becoming a much better photographer (or even a photographer at all), but life and routine got in the way of keeping it up by October. Obviously I’d be starting too late to really even do it this year, and I don’t think I’ll have the motivation. But gosh, I miss it. Keeping a photo diary is fun. But so’s writing, so maybe if I just do lots more of that?
Isaac Mizrahi, Lily from Gossip Girl, the Olsen twins etc.
sigh. Industry events just make me feel like I shouldn’t be there half the time. And I showed up in a tshirt, jeans and boots.
(see the lovely stranger I did manage to meet though)
Always in love with the colors of fall.
This is Carroll Gardens which is far lovelier than I’d imagined. (As is the Morbid Anatomy Library-indepth photoblog post to come and everything.)
day of the dead (even though it wasn’t quite halloween)
skinned knees and raspberries
and a haircut!
I love sundays when I take advantage of them for their maximum joy—waking up late, yoga, hot shower, long brunch and reading, and then things like this:
I was taking photos of a storefront when he and his friend spotted my camera and asked for a picture. He broke out in a head stand, and his friend pulled open his shirt for a stripper pose. I didn’t get time to take a photo of his joking friend’s pose, but I got this, and a chuckle out of it. And that was quite nice.
i really love the way luis’s place is set up. we spent a night with operation, guess who, his talented friend singing and playing guitar and candles and mixed drinks, and loveliness, as usual.
this is what i’m wearing to the nonsense nyc party. taking fashion cues from effy from skins ala (you can’t see it well but) ultra short shirt/dress, fishnets and combat boots. oh and my giant bow, of course. i feel like i’m not wearing anything at all.
(sorry about the egotistical self portrait after ages of not posting too, i’ve pretty much failed at this project but the occasional picture that i do take i’ll just remember to post here. more on that later.)
